FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's and women's track and field teams performed at the Father Diamond Invitational early Saturday morning.
Although mostly an intrasquad competition, both the men and women showed up to knock off the offseason rust and to earn some lifetime bests.
"There was really good energy surrounding the team today," said Coach Gerard. "We'll work to carry that into the upcoming meets when competition ramps up."
Throughout the day you could hear Mason teammates cheering each other on as they competed with and against each other.
The Patriots will compete at the VMI Invitational next in Lexington, Va., which begins this Friday on January 13.
