FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's tennis team opens its 2023 spring schedule hosting Loyola (Md) on Saturday at the Burke Racquet and Swim Club.
 
The Green and Gold return to action after a successful fall tournament season.

Top singles player Paige La finished 5-4 in singles action this fall. La qualified to the ITA Regionals at the end of the season, but fell in the first match of the main draw singles.
 
Grad student Taylor Garcia also finished 5-4 in singles and won the Maryland Flight at the Maryland Bedford Cup (Oct. 3). She teamed up with La in doubles for a successful fall campaign with a 5-5 record. The duo earned a third-place finish at Loyola Fed Cup on Oct. 14-16.

Freshman Dana Edson won all three of her singles matches en route to winning the White Flight at the Maryland Bedford Cup.
 
The doubles team of Ashley Fitz-Patrick and Maitree Root recorded a 3-3 record in tournament play.
