FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's swimming and diving team has been picked to finish second in the Atlantic 10 Conference, while the Patriots' women's team has been projected to finish sixth, the league announced on Thursday.

The Mason men's team received 56 points in the annual vote of the conference's coaches. George Washington has been predicted to finish first with 64 points, including all eight first-place votes.

Massachusetts is picked to finish third (43 points), followed by Davidson (39 points), St. Bonaventure (31 points), Fordham (23 points), La Salle (23 points) and Saint Louis (9 points).

The Mason women's team has been predicted to finish sixth in the league with 72 points.

George Washington took the top spot in the poll with 121 points, including all 11 first-place votes.

Duquesne has been picked to finish second (102 points), followed by Richmond (97 points), Fordham (87 points), Davidson (73 points), George Mason (72 points), La Salle (54 points), Massachusetts (49 points), St. Bonaventure (33 points), Saint Louis (21 points) and Rhode Island (17 points).

The Atlantic 10 Championships will be held Feb. 15-18 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
