Fairfax, Va. – Heading into the final round of the River Run Collegiate on Tuesday, George Mason University golf team sits sixth on the leader-board in the 17-team tournament.
East Carolina leads the tournament after 36 holes with a three-over-par 579 (296-283), followed by Radord (582), and Presbyterian College (586). Mason is one stroke behind fourth place Dayton and Howard University (588).
Grad student
JP Miller continues to play well for the Patriots. Miller carded even-par 144 (71-73) on the 7,317-yard, par-72 River Run Country Club to lead Mason into the final round tomorrow. Miller showed consistency with 26 pars in the two rounds, third most in the tournament. He added five birdies and five bogeys.
Sophomore
Seth Conway is three-over-par, good for t-25 among the 100 golfers. Freshman
Aryan Vuradi scored 74 in both rounds today and is t-32 heading into the final round.
History at River Run Collegiate
The Patriots finished tied for fifth place among the 16-team field at the River Run Collegiate in 2021. Mason senior J.P. Miller finished seventh overall with an even par 72 at River Run Country Club.
The final round will be played on Tuesday, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
