Fairfax, Va. – A pair of George Mason women's tennis student-athletes were named to the 2022 VaSID University Division Women's Tennis All-State Team, as announced Tuesday by the Virginia Sports Information Directors. 
 
Junior Paige La earned All-State Second Team honors for both singles and doubles. Graduate student Hannah Yang was named to the doubles All-State Second Team.
 
An All-Atlantic 10 First Team selection for the second consecutive season, La played in the top singles position for the third straight season. The Fairfax, native finished 17-15 in singles action and 15-7 in doubles at No. 2 with grad student Hannah Yang, including 12-4 in dual action. The duo won five straight matches to end the regular season. 
 
A local product from Springfield, Va., Yang was paired with La for three straight seasons, finishing with a 32-17 career record.

VaSID names 44 all-state teams in 23 sports each year, an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in Virginia.
