Will Halamandaris and
JP Miller have been named 2022 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars.
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status as a Division I golfer, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.
Halamandaris lead the Green and Gold with a 72.06 stroke average, ranking the best vs. par in Mason history for a season. He earned top-15 finishes in nine of the 12 tournaments. The Annapolis, Md., native owns the program record for par or better rounds in a season with 18, eagles with six, and birdies with 123. His par four scoring average (4.03) for a season ranks at the top in program history.
Miller played in all 12 tournaments for the Patriots this season as a senior. The Windermere, Fla. native led the team in par five scoring with a 4.75 and pars per round with 11.31. Miller recorded his best finish by placing first at the Advance Golf Partners tournament which helped the team to a third-place finish overall. He achieved the second lowest score on the team with a 68 at three different tournaments.
The duo helped the Patriots to a third-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship, its best finish since joining the conference in 2013-14. They both finished tied for seventh overall and earned a spot on the All-Conference team, the first Patriots first All-Conference nod since 2017.
