FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason softball student-athletes
Jordan Anderson and
Taylor Dadig have earned Atlantic 10's Player of the Week recognitions, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Jordan Anderson was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week. This is Anderson's first career POTW selection.
A native of Alliance, Ohio, Anderson pitched in two games for 6.2 innings and earned a save in one of her appearances. The freshman tallied six strikeouts in her time on the mound as well as only giving up six hits in 26 at-bats and zero runs. Anderson holds an overall ERA of 2.50 and currently holds a conference ERA 2.74.
Taylor Dadig was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week. This is Dadig's second career POTW selection, second of the season.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Dadig went 11 for 15 at the plate in five games, including going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate in the 3-2 win over Rhode Island. The outfielder recorded a 0.733 batting average over the last week. In her 15 at-bats, Dadig recorded eight runs, three RBI's, one double, one stolen base, and was walked three times.
Anderson, Dadig, and the Patriots will be back in action this week, traveling to Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday May 4 with first pitch of the doubleheader slated for 2 p.m.
