Philadelphia, Pa. -- The George Mason women's tennis team picked up a road conference win defeating Saint Joseph's today, 4-1.
After a few weather delays, the Patriots won the doubles point and three singles matches to earn the victory in Philadephia.
In doubles, Mason's No. 2 and No. 3 teams each won their match to earn the point.
Paige La and
Hannah Yang improve to 12-6, 9-4 in dual matches with a win at No. 2 doubles.
Francesca Trella and
Savanna Crowell won the No. 3 doubles point.
Ashley Fitz-Patrick continues to produce wins from the No. 4 singles spot with a 6-3, 6-2 win against the Hawks Sophia Amato. Fitz-Patrick improves to 13-9 overall, 9-5 in duals, including 6-2 from the No. 4 position.
The Patriots received points from
Hannah Yang with her win at No. 3 singles over Emily Elliott, 6-2, 6-1.
Jackie Nannery won her match 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 singles. The Patriots top two singles matches were unfinished after Mason secured its fourth and winning point.
Mason will host George Washington in a Rev Rivalry match on April 15 at 2 p.m.
