FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's lacrosse will host a pair of Atlantic 10 Conference matches this weekend. The Patriots will host St. Joseph's on Friday and George Washington on Sunday afternoon. The Matches can be viewed on ESPN+.

The Series with St. Joseph's 
Mason and St. Joseph's have met 15 times, with the Patriots holding a 10-5 winning record in the series. The last meeting was on Apr. 12, 2019, a 16-11 Mason win. The two programs are 3-3 since the Patriots entered the Atlantic 10 Conference in 2014. The first-ever meeting was a 15-8 St. Joseph's win on April 23, 1994.

The Series with George Washington
This will be the 21st matchup between Mason and Rev Rival George Washington, with the Patriots holding a 15-5 lead in the series. GW won the two matches last season. The series dates back to the first match on Apr. 30, 2002, a 13-4 Patriots win.

Last Time Out
The George Mason women's lacrosse team was handed a 19-7 loss by the #18 Massachusetts Minutewomen Sunday at Garber Field. UMass, the defending Atlantic 10 regular season champs and preseason favorite, led for the entirety of the game. George Mason didn't have an answer for the Minutewomen, who opened the match with 13 consecutive goals, 11 in the first period. Shannon Tuozzo scored the Patriots first goal mid-way through the second period on a free position shot. The junior added two draw controls and a ground ball for the Patriots. Grad transfer Ioanna Mantzouratos and freshman Lauren Distad each had two goals for Mason, both connecting on their only two shots. Mantzouratos added four draw controls.

• Olivia O'Brien leads the Atlantic 10 in draw controls (73) and draw control average (6.6) and ranks 24th nationally. The grad student earned 18 draw controls at Howard, breaking the Patriots record of 13 set by Hannah Warpinski at Duquesne, April 7, 2017. The mark is among the top 25 in NCAA history. 
• Grad student Ioanna Mantzouratos leads Mason with 31 points (20/11), 12 caused turnovers, and is second on the team with 35 draw controls.
• Shannon Tuozzo is second on the Patriots with 28 points (20/8). 

Scouting St. Joseph's
Saint Joseph's four-game win streak was snapped Sunday afternoon with a 21-7 loss to nationally ranked Richmond. The Hawks fall to 7-5 overall and 3-1 in league play. Goalkeeper Jorden Concordia has been named Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week twice this season. She's made every start at goalkeeper this season for SJU. Her 99 saves this season are 18^th best in the country and second in the A-10. Lauren Figura leads the conference in goals (40) and goals per game (3.33). She's added five assists for 45 points total.

Scouting George Washington
After a career-high day for Tori Hampton, GW lacrosse moved to 2-2 in conference play with a 13-10 win over St. Bonaventure on Sunday. Hampton tallied a career-high six points behind three goals and three assists, registering her fourth multi-score game this season. Goalkeeper Megan Patrick is third in the A-10 with 123 saves. The Colonials travel to UMass on Friday before returning to the DMV for the match on Sunday.
