FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason women's lacrosse will travel to Pittsburgh for a non-conference match with the Pitt Panthers on Tuesday evening at Highmark Stadium.
The Series with Pitt
This is the first meeting between the two programs since the Pitt Panthers are playing its inaugural season against NCAA Division I competition in 2021-22.
Last Time Out
The visiting La Salle Explorers edged the George Mason women's lacrosse team, 11-10, at George Mason Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The match see-sawed with five ties in the second half, but La Salle netted the final goal of the match to earn the Atlantic 10 Conference win. O'Brien tied up the match for the final time, 10-10, with 5:50 remaining in regulation, her team-leading fourth of the match. The Patriots were perfect on clears (11-11) and caused havoc for the Explorers, who managed to clear only 13-of-18 attempts. Mason had eight caused turnovers led by O'Brien with three and

Meghan Deehan had 12 saves on 23 Explorers shots on goal in the setback.
Scouting Pitt
The Pittsburgh Panthers have won seven games in its inaugural season, two against Atlantic 10 programs, defeating cross-town Duquesne, 9-8, and St. Bonaventure, 22-8. Paige Petty leads the Panthers with 48 points (39/9) and draw controls (63).
Next Up
Mason will finish up the regular season at home on Saturday against No. 19 Richmond at 1 p.m. The Patriots will celebrate its six seniors prior to the match.
