FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason softball team will travel to Saint Joseph's this weekend for their first road conference series.

A LOOK AT THE PATRIOTS
Mason comes off their midweek match-up with Morgan State splitting the two matches with the Bears.

In game one, four Patriots went 2-for-4 at the plate in an offensive jam. Those four included senior Taylor Dadig, junior Rachel Warrens, redshirt sophomore Nicole Bechtel, and sophomore Marlaina Bozek. After forcing a decisive eighth inning, with the bases loaded, Warrens knocks one out of the park earning the walk off grand slam in the 5-1 win.

In game two, the Patriots struggled offensively despite Dadig and freshman Charlotte Montgomery going 2-for 03 at the plate. Morgan State earned their first two runs early to take the 2-0 lead over Mason. The Patriots were able to score one late, but the Bears scored one more to come away with the 3-1 win.

Graduate student pitcher Cheyenne Van Pelt earned the win in the first game after pitching the first five innings and then coming back to pitch in the eighth. Freshman Jordan Anderson came in to pitch the sixth and seventh innings in the first game. Freshman Madi Williams earned the start in the second game before she was relieved by sophomore Carly Cooper in the seventh.
