ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The George Mason University men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 contest at Navy on Sunday afternoon.
In doubles, graduate student
Ryan Charles and junior
Rithik Sardana fought valiantly, but dropped a 7-5 match to Finn Garner and Gavin Segraves.
At No. 1 singles, senior
Rishab Sardana battles against Derrick Thompson, but Thompson came out victorious in two sets, 6-4, 6-3.
At No. 5 singles, junior
Herman Jentoft took control in his first set against Conners O'Brien, winning 7-6 after a solid 7-5 triumph in tiebreaker action. O'Brien won the second set, 6-3, then won a super tiebreaker in the third.
Next up, Mason is off until March 5, when the Patriots take on Coppin State at the home opener at the Patriot Tennis Courts (11 a.m.).
