Fairfax, Va.— The George Mason wrestling team will celebrate Senior Day at its final regular season match with the Cleveland State Vikings on Sunday at 1 p.m. inside the RAC.
SENIOR CELEBRATION
Kyle Davis -- A Beacon, N.Y. Native, Kyle transferred into Mason and wrestled two seasons. The 184-pounder won 2-of-3 matches in 2021's shortened season and currently owns a 9-5 record this season and winner of seven straight duals. He is 6-1 in Mid-American Conference action heading into the match today. Kyle will graduate with a degree in Global Affairs.
Alex Madrigal -- A two-time NCAA qualifier and winner of the 2020 NCAA Most Technical Falls award in Division I, Madrigal has had an outstanding collegiate career. Nearing the 100 career-win milestone, Madrigal is ranked No. 21 nationally and is the top ranked wrestle in the MAC at 149 pounds. After two seasons at ODU, Madrigal transferred to Mason and competed for the Patriots during the 2019-20 season. He wrestled at 141-pounds and finished with a season-high 28 wins and was ranked as high as 17
th nationally. A NWCA Academic All-American, Madrigal will graduate with a master's degree in Psychology.

- Logan Messer is having an impressive rookie campaign The 174-pounder ranks sixth in NCAA D1 technical falls with five. Messer has an impressive 22-6 record.
- Mason's Avery Bassett is 20-7 in his inaugural season. He has won six straight matches and is 5-1 in MAC action.

- The Patriots Alex Madrigal is ranked at the top of the 149-pound weight class for the second straight month. The grad student owns a 18-3 season record and is 5-0 in the MAC. Madrigal is ranked #21 nationally.
- Redshirt senior Kyle Davis is ranked third in the 184-pound weight class, moving up two spots from January's ranking. The Beacon, N.Y. native has won seven straight matches and is 6-1 in the MAC.
