Fairfax, Va. – Senior J.P. Miller earned medalist honors at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate today in Palm City, Florida.
Miller carded an eight-under par, 54-hole 208 (68-71-69=208) at the 7,169-yard Hammock Creek Golf Club. Miller scored a three-under par 69 today passing second-round leader Presten Richardson from Western Carolina by two strokes. Miller led the field with 14 birdies in the 54-hole tournament, including five in the final round. He also led the field with a 3.90 average on par fours.
The three-round 208 is the fifth best vs. par in Mason golf history. The win marks Miller's first collegiate win and the first Patriot to earn medalist honors since Kyle Hart won the Navy Spring Invitational in April 2017.
Miller's efforts helped George Mason earn a third-place finish in the 21-team tournament. After a first-round 298, the Patriots scored back-to-back 291 scores, the second lowest team score of the day to advance from a tie for sixth going into the final round. Third place is the best finish since Mason won the Patriot Intercollegiate in September 2018.

Will Halamandaris scored a two-over par 54-hole 218 to finish t-14 individually.
Colin Slater notched his best round of the tourney today with even-par 72 (75-75-72=222) to finish t-27.
Seth Conway rounded out the scoring for Mason with a 75 today (81-76-75=232 ).
Host UNC Greensboro won the tournament after shooting the lowest round of the day (290) and Creighton finished in second place three strokes back. The Patriots edged fourth-place finisher UConn by one stroke.
