The Series
Saturday's game marks the third meeting between the Patriots and Ducks in women's lacrosse. The Ducks won the two previous matches, most recently on Mar. 27, 2017, 17-12.

Mason Connection
The Ducks Head Coach Chelsea Hoffmann - previously Chelsea Gamble – play collegiately at George Mason. The 2011 alum earned All-CAA honors and was a three-time captain for the Patriots. In her third season at the helm of the program in 2021, Hoffmann led the Ducks to a 3-9 overall record and 2-4 mark in Pac-12 play. The Ducks showed several signs of progress in a season sweep of California and a near-win when hosting #17 Stanford.
Roster Bolstered
Mason returns junior
Chloe Reed to the line-up. The A-10 All-Rookie Team selection started 15 games for the Patriots as a sophomore. She closed out the season with 16 goals and two assists for a total of 18 points. The Patriots 2022 roster boasts four transfers. The talented group includes two former Hartford student-athletes: goalkeeper Emma Privitera and midfielder
Shannon Tuozzo, Second-Team All-SoCon goalkeeper
Meghan Deehan, and former George Washington attack
Ioanna Mantzouratos.

Scouting Oregon
Oregon was selected to finish sixth in the 2022 Pac-12 Women's Lacrosse preseason poll. The Ducks sophomore Cassidy Eckert was selected as one of two goalies for the Canadian National Team competing at the 2022 World Lacrosse Women's World Cup. Junior attacker Hanna Hilcoff returns to the line-up for the Ducks. She earned Second Team All-Pac 12 last season. She is the only Pac-12 player to rank in the top ten in both goals (35, 7

th).
Challenging Non-Conference Slate
The 2022 schedule includes games against opponents from six conferences outside of the nine-match Atlantic 10 schedule. The Patriots will host nine contests at George Mason Stadium and play opponents from the Pac-12, Big East, ACC, American, Patriot League and the NEC during the non-conference.

Next Up
