Fairfax, Va.— Three George Mason wrestlers have advanced to the final day at the prestigious Ken Kraft Midlands Championships held at the NOW Arena in suburban Hoffman Estates, Ill.

Freshman Markel Baker (125), Nate Higley (149), and Tyler Kocak (184) are still competing in the consolation bracket.
 
Baker won his first two matches before dropping a match to All-American Killian Cardinale from West Virginia, 12-6. The freshman earned a decision against Indiana's Jacob Moran and a win over nationally ranked Dylan Shawver from Rutgers, 4-2. He will take on Michigan's Jack Medley on Friday.
 
Higley opened the tournament with a 9-7 win against Virginia's Denton Spencer. He fell to nationally ranked Sam Hilegas (WVA) before winning two matches, including a fall against two-time NCAA Qualifier Graham Rooks from Indiana, in the consolation bracket. He will wrestle UVA's Jacob Verkleeren tomorrow.
 
After dropping his first match to the top seed, Tyler Kocak ran off four straight wins, including a major decision against A. Wenzel, 16-5. He will take on NC State's Dylan Fishback on Friday.
 
Josh Jones had three decision wins today. The junior dropped his third match to two-time All-American Chris Cannon from Northwestern. He bowed out in the consolation round of 16 to SIUE Marcel Lopez, 3-0.
