FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason lacrosse team head coach Kara Mupo has announced the team's 2023 schedule, beginning February 10^th on the road.
 
The Patriots will host eight contests at home and match up with opponents from the Pac-12, Big South, MAAC, American and CAA during non-conference action.
 
Mason opens the season on Friday, Feb. 10 at Monmouth, who advanced to the MAAC championship game in 2022, before opening up at home on Wednesday, Feb. 15 against Longwood.
 
The Patriots will travel to East Carolina on Sat., Feb. 18 for their last out-of-conference road contest before a three-game homestand in Fairfax. Mason will host Elon on Thurs., Feb. 23, Campbell Wed., March 1 and Oregon on Sun., March 5.
 
From there, A-10 play begins with alternating home and away matches for the rest of the season. Conference play begins on Sat., March 11 on the road at reining A-10 champion St. Joseph's, who upended No. 2 seed Richmond and then-nationally ranked No. 1 seed UMass for their first Atlantic 10 title. The Patriots will then open the home portion of their A-10 schedule on Sat., March 18 against La Salle.
 
Mason will travel to inner-state rival Richmond on Wed., March 22 before hosting the Dukes of Duquesne on Sat., March 25 to kick off six-straight Saturday games.
 
The Patriots will then make the trek across the Potomac for Revolutionary Rival George Washington on Sat., April 1. Mason will then host Davidson on Sat., April 8 and travel to St. Bonaventure on Sat., April 15.
 
Mupo's squad will then honor its' senior class prior to the Patriots' game against VCU on Sat., April 22 at George Mason Stadium. To wrap up the season, Mason will travel to UMass, who was ranked No. 22 in the final IWLCA poll of 2022 on Sat., April 29.
 
The Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Championship will be held on the campus of VCU this year with opening round action beginning Thurs., May 4 and concluding with the championship game on Sun., May 7.
