Eastman, Ikenberry and Love Receive A-10 Weekly Cross Country Awards

Jack Ikenberry and
Mason Love received A-10 Weekly Cross Country awards for their performances at this past weekend's 48th Annual Paul Short Invitational the league office announced on Tuesday. The race featured 3,692 college athletes dispersed over 286 teams.
Junior
Annabelle Eastman, a native of Melbourne, Australia, was awarded the A-10 Women's XC Performer of the Week for finishing 32nd overall at the Paul Short Invitational clocking in at 20:10.7. She led all George Mason women in the 6K; beating her personal time by almost 20 seconds.
Graduate Student
Jack Ikenberry from Mechanicsville, Va. has been named the A-10 Men's XC Performer of the week for finishing 44th overall and leading all Patriots while achieving his personal best time of 23:35.4 in the 8K.
Freshman athlete
Mason Love of Charlottesville, Va. been named the A-10 Men's XC Rookie of the Week for the third time this year. Love finished in 158th place after running a 24:28.2 in the 8K.
The second time Love won the award, He helped lead Mason's team to a second-place finish at the Navy Cross Country Invitational. He was the third Mason runner to finish at 17th place in the 4.9-mile event with a time of 24:58.1.
Love won the award for the first time when he placed 14th overall out of 107 runners at the Spider Alumni Open with a personal-best time of 18:17.2 in the 6K course. He was the top finisher for the Mason men as they placed fifth as a team.
Up next, Mason will compete at the IC4A/ECAC Championships hosted by Fordham University on Oct. 14. This is the Patriots last meet before the A-10 Championship.
