Fairfax, Va. – The George Mason women's tennis team wrapped up its fall competition season at the ITA Atlantic Region Championship this weekend at Virginia Tech.
Six Patriots competed in the event in both singles and doubles draws.
Top singles player
Paige La competed in the main singles draw, while grad student
Taylor Garcia, freshman Maitree Root, and senior
Ashley Fitz-Patrick began in the qualifying round on Thursday.
Delaware's Eliza Askarova advanced after defeating La, 6-0, 6-1. La fell to James Madison's Daniella Voloh in the main draw consolation.

The Patriots had three doubles teams in the draw, both in singles and doubles draws.

Taylor Garcia, 8-4. By the same score, Howard's Selah Stibbin and Sifa Butcher advanced after defeating the Patriots
Jackie Nannery and
Emily Wirt. Penn State's duo of Sofiya Chekhlystova and Olivia Dorner blanked the Patriots' Maitree Root and
Ashley Fitz-Patrick.
