Atlantic 10 Release
 
FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason sophomore Ali Tyler was selected Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming and Diving Women's Performer of the Week, while freshman Tate Anderson was named A-10 Men's Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
 
Tyler, a native of Cheshire, Conn., won two individual events and was part of a victorious relay to help the Patriots win their dual over Towson on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Jim McKay Natatorium in Fairfax, Va.
 
Tyler took the top spot in both the 50-yard freestyle (23.24) and 100-yard freestyle (51.29).  She also helped the Patriots touch the wall first in the 200-yard medley relay (1:43.50).
 
Anderson, from Fuquay-Varina, N.C., won three individual events in the Patriots 159-139 dual meet win over Towson.  He placed first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:39.87); 500-yard freestyle (4:42.17), and 200-yard backstroke (1:52.16).
 
The Patriots are back in action at the Richmond Duals Oct. 21-22 in Richmond, Va.
