FAIRFAX, Va. –
The George Mason softball team (14-7, 9-6 A-10) split a Saturday doubleheader against Saint Louis.

The Patriots won the first game by a score of 4-2, then fell to the Billikens 2-0 in game two.

GAME ONE: Mason 4, Saint Louis 2
Freshman Haley Taormina recorded her first career home run in the first inning to give Mason the lead.

Sophomore Rachel Warrens also tallied her first collegiate home run in the fourth inning. Warren's first dinger was a three-run shot to center field to give Mason the 4-0 lead.

The Billikens added two runs in the fifth, but could not make the comeback as Mason won its ninth conference game of the season.

Senior Haellie Gordon earned her team high seventh win of the season, as she allowed just two runs on four hits in 5.0 innings of work. Gordon improved her overall record to 7-2 on the season.

Graduate student Bekah Ansbro recorded her third save of the season for Mason. Ansbro's three saves is a team high.

GAME TWO: Saint Louis 2, Mason 0.
In the final game, the Patriots could not push across a run despite earning seven hits in the contest.

A two-run sixth inning from the Billikens was all they needed to split the doubleheader on Saturday.
