FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason baseball team hosts La Salle for doubleheader on Saturday, with the first pitch for game one slated for 12 p.m. at Spuhler Field.
Mason will wrap up the weekend on the road at Richmond on Sunday with the first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m. at Pitt Field.
The Patriots' game on Friday at Old Dominion was been cancelled due to the forecast of inclement weather in Norfolk, Va.
Last time out, Mason (2-6, 0-0 A-10) fell at UMBC, 13-7, on Sunday, March 14, at Alumni Stadium in Baltimore, Md.

Last weekend, the Patriots split a doubleheader at La Salle on Saturday, March 14 at DeVincent Field in Philadelphia, Pa.
In game one, graduate student pitcher
Ryan Stoudemire allowed just two runs over 6.2 innings to earn his first win with the Patriots. He also went 2-for-4 at the plate, hitting his first two home runs with the Green and Gold.

Bailey Klein collected five hits and drove in a run over the two games against the Explorers.
Sunday's game will be the second meeting this season between the Patriots and the Spiders.
Mason jumped out to a 9-0 lead and held on for a 10-7 win over Richmond on March 5 at Spuhler Field.

Thomas Trinca is batting .421 (8-for-19) with two doubles, three RBI and four runs scored. Morgan is hitting .394 (13-for-33) with two home runs, three doubles, nine RBI and seven runs scored. He leads the club in hits and RBI, and is tied for the team lead in home runs.
Klein has a .350 average (7-for-20) with two doubles and two RBI. Second baseman Danial Brooks is hitting .296 (8-for-27) with six RBI and three runs scored. He is second on the team in RBI.

Jared Lyons (1-1, 5.87) and Stoudemire (1-2, 3.14) have each started three games.
The Atlantic 10 has been split into two divisions for the 2021 season.
Davidson, Dayton, George Mason, George Washington, Richmond, Saint Louis and VCU make up the South Division. The North Division consists of Fordham, La Salle, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Saint Joseph's and St. Bonaventure.
Teams will play 24 games against their own division and games played against teams from the other division will not count in conference records.
SCOUTING LA SALLE
La Salle has an overall record of 6-6, including a mark of 4-4 at home and 2-2 on the road.
Last time out, the Explorers scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth for an 11-10 walk-off win over Coppin State at DeVincent Field in Philadelphia, Pa.
After their season-opening series against Seton Hall was cancelled, the Explorers began the 2021 campaign with a four-game set at home against Hofstra.
La Salle dropped both games of a doubleheader to Hofstra, 7-0 and 4-2, on Friday, Feb. 26. The two teams then split a doubleheader on Saturday, March 1. The Explorers took game one, 6-5, while the Pride win the nightcap, 14-5.
The Explores topped Delaware State, 10-6, at home on March 2 in a midweek game. La Salle then swept a doubleheader at Bucknell, 7-0 and 5-4, on March 6 in Lewisburg, Pa. before dropping both games of a doubleheader at Delaware, 7-4 and 14-4, on March 7 in Newark, Del.
Mason and La Salle split a doubleheader on March 13 at DeVincent Field. The Explorers took game one, 10-5, while the Patriots won game two, 4-2.
Junior outfielder Nick DiVietro is batting .357 (10-for-28) with two doubles, three RBI and nine runs scored. Sophomore infielder Connor Coolahan is hitting .345 (10-for-29) with three doubles, four RBI and six runs scored. Junior catcher Tatem Levins has a .273 average (12-for-44) and leads the team in hits (12) and RBI (13).
On the mound, senior lefthander Colin Scanlon (1-2, 2.87) has started three games. He tossed a one-hitter and struck out six in a 7-0 win over Bucknell on March 6 at Depew Field in Lewisburg, Pa.
Freshman Frank Elissalt (1-0, 4.24) and sophomore Gabe Rappa (0-1, 7.56) have each started three games for the Explorers.
SCOUTING RICHMOND
Richmond has an overall record of 5-3, including a mark of 5-1 at home and 0-2 on the road.
The Spiders opened the 2021 season with a four-game sweep against Mount St. Mary's Feb. 26-28 at Pitt Field in Richmond, Va.
Mason defeated Richmond, 10-7, on March 5 at Spuhler Field to hand the Spiders their first loss of the season.
Since a 10-3 win against VMI on March 6 at Pitt Field, the Spiders have dropped their last two games. Central Michigan topped Richmond, 10-2, on March 8 at Pitt Field and the Spiders were blanked, 7-0, at Virginia on March 9 in Charlottesville.
Junior catcher Drew Blakely is batting .429 (12-for-28) and leads the club in hits (12) and is tied for the team lead in runs scored (6). Senior infielder Justin Cook is hitting .353 (6-for-17) with a home run and is tied for the team lead in RBI (6).
On the mound, sophomore Jacob Marcus (1-0, 1.80) and freshmen Jeremy Neff (1-0, 2.00) have each started two games. Graduate students Nolan Colins (1-0, 2.08) and Colby Wyatt (1-1, 8.22), along with junior Jordan Schulefand (1-0, 3.86) have each recorded a victory.
