FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason softball team (6-0, 4-0) puts their perfect record on the line, hosting Morgan State for a midweek doubleheader on Wednesday, March 17. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. ET.

The Patriots will also host A-10 rival George Washington this weekend, March 20-21, in a four-game series inside the George Mason Softball Complex.

The Morgan State doubleheader will be streamed via ESPN+. The four-game series against GW can be followed via live stats.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Mason swept the four-game series against St. Bonaventure last weekend, outscoring the Bonnies 16-4.
 
Senior Meghan Graham leads the Green & Gold with seven hits, four RBI, five walks, three runs scored and a triple for a batting average of .438 and an on base percentage of .571 (both team highs).
 
In the circle, grad student Bekah Ansbro and senior Haellie Gordon each improved their respective records to 3-0 last weekend. Gordon leads Mason with an ERA of 0.35 while Ansbro leads the Patriots in strikeouts (23).
 
Mason is the last remaining unbeaten in the Atlantic 10 conference.
 
A LOOK AT MORGAN STATE (5-1, 4-0 MEAC)
The Bears have started 2021 strong, winning five of their first six contests outscoring their opposition 22-9 during their five-game winning streak.
 
Morgan State and Mason had similar outcomes last weekend. The Bears are coming off of a four-game conference sweep of MEAC rival Norfolk State (March 13-14).
 
A LOOK AT GEORGE WASHINGTON (8-6)
The Colonials are coming off of a weekend in which they took three from UMBC in a four-game series. George Washington outscored the Retrievers 36-11, including an 18-3 (5 innings) victory on Saturday, and a 14-4 (5 innings) victory on Sunday.

Senior Sidney Bloomfield leads George Washington at the plate with a batting average of .432 while grad student Faith Weber has launched four home runs in 14 games for the Buff and Blue.


George Washington was picked to win the A-10 in the conference's preseason poll back in February.
Saturday will mark the Colonials' first conference game of the 2021 season.
 
The last time these two softball programs met for a #RevRivalry matchup, the Patriots defeated the Colonials by a score of 5-3 on April 17, 2019.

TICKETING INFO/SAFETY PROTOCOLS
During the 2021 season, the George Mason Softball Complex will have a capacity of 50 spectators, limited to Mason team guests (Photo ID required) and students. Tickets will not be available to the public or visiting teams. Fans will be required to sit in a social-distanced marked pod of two (2) in the bleachers and have on a face covering at all times.
