FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason baseball team will have 10 newcomers on the club for the 2021 season. The Patriots added five freshmen and five transfers to this year's team.

Bill Brown said. "Each of the freshman student-athletes was a highly decorated high school player and we have added five players who have experience at the college level. We look forward to seeing those abilities translate into individual and team success. Our expectations are high and we look forward to the contributions each player will make to the team this season."
Sang Ho Baek | James M. Bennett | Salisbury, Md. | Pitcher
Baek, a freshman right-handed pitcher, played four years on the varsity baseball team at James M. Bennett High School. He helped the Clippers win the 2019 3A Maryland State Championship.
Kieran Versaw-Barnes | Lackawanna College | Cheltenham, Pa. | Pitcher
Versaw-Barnes, a redshirt-freshman right-handed pitcher, joins the Patriots after playing for Lackawanna College. Versaw-Barnes played baseball four years at Cheltenham High School. He was selected Suburban One League All-Conference shortstop in both 2016 and 2017 and was named an All-Conference pitcher in 2019.
Kyle Hayes | James Madison High School | Vienna, Va. | Catcher
Hayes, a graduate student catcher, joins the Patriots after playing at James Madison University. He competed at James Madison High School prior to attending JMU.
Jonathan Kaiser | Skidmore College | Armonk, N.Y. | Pitcher
Kaiser, a graduate student left-handed pitcher, joins the Patriots after playing at Skidmore College. He played at Byram Hill High School, where he helped the Bobcats win the 2015 New York Class A State Championship.
Brock Piper | Big Spring High School | Carlisle, Pa. | Infield
Piper, a freshman infielder, played baseball four years and basketball for two years at Big Spring High School. He was a two-time Mid-Penn Second Team All-Conference selection and was named Mid-Penn Colonial Division MVP.
Jordan Smith | Kellam High School | Virginia Beach, Va. | Outfield
Smith, a freshman outfielder, played baseball four years at Kellum High School. He was the captain of the Knights his senior year.
Brett Stallings | Frederick Community College | Springfield, Va. | Infield
Stallings, a redshirt-sophomore infielder, joins the Patriots after playing for Frederick Community College. He hit .327 with 10 doubles, two triples, two home runs and 29 RBI and was selected honorable mention All-Maryland JUCO. Stallings played baseball four years at Jason Olms High School.
Andrew Stieg | McLean High School | McClean, Va. | Outfield
Stieg, a freshman infielder, was a three-year letterwinner at McLean High School. He was selected First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Region while playing for the Highlanders.
Ryan Stoudemire | Charleston Southern | Pomaria, S.C. | First Base/Pitcher
Stoudemire, a graduate student first baseman and right-handed pitcher, joins the Patriots after playing at Charleston Southern University. He was selected 2019 Big South First Team All-Conference and was the captain of the Buccaneers for the 2020 season.
Thomas Trinca | Centreville High School | Centreville, Va. | Outfield
Trinca, a freshman outfielder, earned three baseball letters at Centreville High School. He was selected First Team All-State, three-time First Team All-Conference, two-time First Team All-Region and two-time Honorable Mention All-Met while playing for the Wildcats.
