FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's track and field program wrapped up its indoor season on Sunday, competing in the final day of the Mason Winter Track Fiesta.
The Mason men competed in 10 events at the George Mason Field House, collecting two individual victories.
Freshman
Maximilian Karen had a successful day on the track, placing first in the 200m (22.39) and second in the 60-meter dash (7.07).
Junior
Willem Landis came out victorious in the 3000m with a personal-record time of 8:34.9. Sophomore
Joseph Queen (8:35.34) and graduate student
Reid Sharkey (8:37.45) finished second and third in the event, respectively.
Freshman
Elijah Brown notched a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 50.31 while sophomore
Jeremy Allen placed second in the high jump with a PR of 1.95m.
In the pole vault, senior
Harrison Shotwell finished as runner-up with a mark of 4.81m while junior
Decker Barborek took third (4.36m).
Senior
Benjamin Viau had a solid outing in the throw events, tabbing a season-best toss of 16.16m in the shot put for third place. He added a second-place toss of 18.90m in the weight throw.
