Fairfax, Va.-- George Mason Athletics has announced the following policy for in-person attendance at spring sporting events. The capacity at all the Patriots' sports venues has been set to follow the current COVID-19 safety guidance from the Commonwealth of Virginia. In the event that the State issues new guidance in the future, Mason Athletics may adjust accordingly. Across all venues no tailgating will be allowed before or after games. At the conclusion of the event all spectators must exit the facility, no interaction will be permitted with the student-athletes.
Men's and Women's Volleyball
During the 2020-21 season, the RAC Gym will have a capacity of 30 spectators, limited to Mason team guests (Photo ID required) and students. Tickets will not be available to the public or visiting teams. Face coverings will be required at all times and seating will be in pods that are socially distanced. Softball
During the 2021 season, the George Mason Softball Complex will have a capacity of 50 spectators, limited to Mason team guests (Photo ID required) and students. Tickets will not be available to the public or visiting teams. Fans will be required to sit in a social-distanced marked pod of two (2) in the bleachers and have on a face covering at all times. Pets and individual chairs will not be permitted inside the complex to help with social distance protocols. Students may request a ticket online. Baseball
During the 2021 season, Spuhler Field will have a capacity of 40 spectators, limited to Mason team guests (Photo ID required) and students. Tickets will not be available to the public or visiting teams. All fans will be required to sit in a social-distanced marked pod of two (2) in the bleachers and have on a face covering at all times. Seating will only be available in the main bleachers located behind home plate. The side bleachers next to the dugouts will be closed to fans to allow for improved social distancing for the teams. Seating also will not be allowed on the concourse area behind home plate or on the outfield hill. Pets and individual chairs will not be permitted to help with social distance protocols. The Field House will be closed during all games, a restroom trailer will be provided outside George Mason Stadium for baseball patron use. Students may request a ticket online. Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Lacrosse
The capacity at George Mason Stadium will be a maximum of 250 spectators. The Field House will be closed during all games, a restroom trailer will be provided outside the stadium. All fans should use the side entrance of George Mason Stadium located behind the scoreboard. Face coverings must be worn at all times and social distance seating will be enforced. A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase on online or by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 703-993-3270. Visiting teams may contact the Athletic Ticket Office about ticket availability as they will not have access to complementary tickets. All tickets are priced at $8 each. At this time, any sport in competition that is not listed will be closed to spectators.
