FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason University track and field program has unveiled its 2022 schedule.
The Patriots will open the 2022 indoor campaign on Jan. 8, hosting the Father Diamond Invitational. The Green & Gold will then participate in a pair of away meets: VMI Team Challenge (Jan. 15) and Navy Invitational (Jan. 22).
Mason returns home to host the Patriot Games on Jan. 28-29, before traveling to Boston for a pair of meets the weekend of Feb. 4-5. The indoor regular season concludes with the VMI Indoor Classic (Feb. 11-12).
George Mason will host the 2022 A-10 Indoor Championships on Feb. 26-27 at the George Mason Field House. The NCAA Indoor Championships are slated for March 11-12 at the Birmingham Sportsplex in Birmingham, Ala.
Mason will be on the road for three straight weekends to open the 2022 outdoor campaign. The Patriots will compete in the Fred Hardy Invite on March 18-19, followed by the Raleigh Relays on March 25-26 and Colonial Relays on April 1-2. Mason will also send athletes to the Stimson Memorial Quad on March 26.
The Patriots then return to Fairfax to host the Mason Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 9. The home meet will be held at George Mason Stadium.
The regular season concludes with the JMU Invitational on April 16, followed by the Penn Relays on April 28-30.
The 2022 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships, hosted by VCU, will take place on May 7-8 in Richmond, Va. Championship season continues at the IC4A/ECAC Championships on May 13-15.
The NCAA East Preliminary Championships are set for May 25-28 in Bloomington, Ind., which will be hosted by Indiana University.
The University of Oregon will host the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships on June 8-11 at Hayward Field.
