FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host the Patriot Invitational, welcoming six teams for the meet beginning Thursday, Nov. 18 and running through Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
Mason will compete against American, Delaware, Drexel, Florida Atlantic, Richmond, and Seton Hall.

The Patriot Invitational was last held Nov. 21-23, 2019. The Mason men's team placed fourth out of eight teams and the women's team also finished fourth out of nine teams in the three-day event.
On the men's side, UNC-Wilmington won the meet for the second straight time with 788.5 points. Florida Atlantic was second (738.5) and Drexel placed third (697.5). Mason was fourth (667), followed by UMBC (409.5), Seton Hall (366), American (104) and Shippensburg (83).
On the women's side, Drexel won the meet with 850 points, Florida Atlantic was second (772.5) and UNC-Wilmington third (630). Mason finished fourth (467), followed by Seton Hall (375), Richmond (372), American (235.5), UMBC (163) and Shippensburg (8).
On the women's side at the 2019 Patriot Invitational,
Jacquee Clabeaux won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:13.56) and took the silver in the 100-yard butterfly (55.92).
Megan Cummins claimed the bronze with a third-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle (17:08.98).
The team of

Lauren Ashton and Clabeaux won the 800-yard freestyle relay, setting a new meet record with a time of 7:29.74.
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the group of Shannon Glesing,
Ariana Lewis,
Emily Lewantowicz and Clabeaux took third (3:25.82). UNC-Wilmington won the event with a new meet record time (3:24.31).
The combination of Glesing, Lewis, Lewantowicz and Clabeaux placed third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:34.07).
In the 400-yard medley relay,
Hannah Milikich, Clabeaux, Lewis and Riley touched the wall second (3:45.10).
On the men's side, Gerald Hodges, Jr. claimed the Patriot Invitational championship in the three-meter diving event with a finals score of 319.80.
The team of Ryan Donnelly, Logan Eubanks, Christopher Stankiewicz and
Luke DeVore finished second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:29.51).
The group of Devon Truong,
Drake Moretz, Attila Kiss and Donnelly placed second in the 800-yard freestyle relay (6:62.38). Florida Atlantic won the event, setting a new meet record (6:38.18).
The combination of
Nick Ashton,
Will Rastatter, Donnelly and Moretz swam to a third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:00.85). Drexel won the event with a new meet record time of 2:59.34.
In the 400-yard IM, Kiss made the podium with a third-place finish (4:00.32). Donnelly won the bronze in the 200-yard butterfly (1:48.15).
Both the Mason men's and women's teams claimed the Patriot Invitational title in 2014 and 2015.
