Final Team Scores
GENEVA, Ohio – The George Mason women's and men's swimming and diving teams concluded the two-day A-10 Classic on Sunday at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
The Mason women's team defeated St. Bonaventure (207-137), but fell to Duquesne (222-128) and Oakland (242-108). The Patriots men's team recorded a victory over St. Bonaventure (202-151) and dropped its dual against Oakland (251-102).
On the women's side, freshman
Ali Tyler won the the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.16), with classmate
Kylie Thompson ninth in the event (2:01.05). Tyler also finished first in the 1650-yard freestyle (17:30.27), with classmate
Sydney Branch seventh (18:38.99).
Tyler posted a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (23.72), while freshman
Shannon Judge was seventh (24.56).
Freshman
Anna Whelan took the top spot in the 400-yard IM (4:27.14) with freshman
Michaela Teachey seventh (4:40.44) and senior
Mia McKinley eighth (4:41.63).Â
In the 200-yard backstroke, Whelan placed second (2:03.49) and junior
Megan Mastropaolo finished 11th (2:12.34). In the 100-yard backstoke, Judge was seventh (58.72) and senior
Hannah Milikich placed 10th (59.93).
Sophomore
Abigail Murtaugh took third in the 200-yard butterfly (2:08.42), while senior
Laura Hodge was eighth (2:11.62) and Teachey 10th (2:12.14). Hodge finished 10th in the 100-yard butterfly (59.39).
In the 100-yard freestyle, freshman
Emma DeJong registered a third-place finish (52.72), with Judge ninth in the event (53.92).

Jacquee Clabeaux placed fourth the 200-yard IM (2:06.48), 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.82) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:23.68).Â
In the 500-yard freestyle, Hodge placed seventh (5:19.41), Branch eighth (5:19.85) and Murtaugh ninth (5:21.00).
The team of Clabeaux, DeJong, Judge and Tyler placed second in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:28.93), the group of Clabeaux, DeJong, Murtaugh and Tyler took second in the 400-yard medley relay (3:51.96) and the combination of junior
Emily Lewantowicz, DeJong, Judge and Whelan finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:38.82).
On the men's side, junior
Thomas Chapman won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:07.48), while freshman
Justin Lee was third (2:09.79) and junior
Sammy Lucht fourth (2:11.14).
Lucht touched the wall second in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.68), with Lee fourth (59.22).
In the 200-yard IM, Chapman took second (1:55.88), with sophomore
Anthony Nguyen fourth (1:56.14) and Lucht sixth (1:57.85).
Anthony Nguyen placed second in the 100-yard freestyle (46.25) and third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:43.02). Freshman
Zane Roberts was sixth in the both the 100-yard freestyle (47.29) and 200-yard freestyle (1:44.98).
In the 100-yard backstroke, freshman
Alexander Franklin placed second (50.49), with sophomore
Dylan Nguyen fourth (52.91) and freshman
Joe Durocher fifth (53.67). Franklin also placed second (1:52.91) in the 200-yard backstroke, with
Dylan Nguyen fifth (1:57.63).
In the 400-yard IM, Chapman touched the wall second (4:07.67), freshman
Nicholas Maranto fourth (4:14.59) and senior
Timothy McKinley sixth (4:18.39).
Senior
Jared Bergan placed second in the 200-yard butterfly (1:52.90) and fifth in the 100-yard butterfly (50.80).
Sophomore
Graham Boyle placed fifth in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:59.87), with McKinley eighth (17:16.07). Boyle was seventh in the 500-yard freestyle (4:52.47), with Maranto ninth (4:57.20) and McKinley 10th (4:57.56).
The team of sophomore

Anthony Nguyen, Franklin and Lucht placed second in the 400-yard medley relay (3:26.03), the group of Aman, Franklin, Lucht and Roberts took second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:32.61) and the combination of senior
Will Rastatter,
Anthony Nguyen, Franklin and Roberts finished second in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:06.06).
The Patriots are back in action Nov. 18-20, hosting the Patriot Invitational at the Aquatic and Fitness Center in Fairfax, Va.
