FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's and women's swimming and diving teams will face Atlantic 10 opponents for the first time this season, competing against East Carolina, Davidson, and Richmond at the Richmond Duals on Friday and Saturday.

The events will take place at the Robins Center Natatorium and SwimRVA in Richmond, Va.
Â
Swimming events will be held at SwimRVA beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday and 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. Diving events will be held in the Robins Center Natatorium beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.

The Mason women's team will face East Carolina on Friday and then take on either Davidson or Richmond on Saturday.

On the men's side, Mason and Davidson will compete in a single dual meet over both days.
Â
The Patriots last competed in the Richmond Duals two years ago, on Oct. 18-19, 2019.

The Mason men's team completed the two-day dual against Davidson with a 257-148 victory over the Wildcats. The Patriots' women's team dropped their day one dual to Davidson, 165.5-95.5, and fell just short to Duquesne on day two, 149-144.

The men's team won eight events on day one and 18 events on the second day of competition against Davidson.

On day one on the men' side,
Thomas Chapman won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:08.91), Devin Truong claimed the 200-yard butterfly (1:54.08), Ryan Donnelly took first in the 200-yard backstroke (1:51.89) and Attila Kiss touched the wall first in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:24.55).

On day two,
Drake Moretz won the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.29), Christopher Stankiewicz swam past the field in the 50-yard freestyle (21.20) and
Andres Alarcon took first in the 100-yard butterfly (50.90).Â

Mason also placed first in the 100-yard and 1650-yard freestyle, 50-yard and 200-yard butterfly, 50-yard and 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard IM, and 200-yard backstroke on day two.

On day one on the women's side, the Patriots faced Davidson on Oct. 18, 2019.
Jacquee Clabeaux won both the 50-yard freestyle (23.78) and the 100-yard freestyle (51.65), while Shannon Glesing took the top spot in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.53).

Laura Hodge and Clabeaux won the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:33.20).

On day two, the Patriots won eight events against Duquesne on Oct. 19, 2021.

Hannah Milikich claimed the 100-yard freestyle (58.25), while
Leah Riley took the top spot in both the 100-yard (58.68) and 200-yard (2:10.17) butterfly.

Clabeaux touched the wall first in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.05) and 100-yard freestyle (51.47), and Hodge won the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.71).
