BALTIMORE, Md. -- The women's tennis team captured second and third place at the Loyola Greyhound Classic this weekend.

Mason's Paige La, Francesca Trella, and Hannah Yang finished in second place at the Fed Cup format event. The team won three straight matches against two teams from Morgan State and Loyola before dropping the championship match to Loyola's Olivia Tracey and Anna Rico. The Patriots doubles team (Yang/La) won the doubles point, 6-4, in Sunday's championship, but La and Trella dropped their singles matches in the setback, 2-1.

The team of Grace Hashiguchi, Brianna Gibbs and Emily Wirt finished in third place. The trio defeated two straight Loyola teams before losing in the semifinals to the eventual champions.

The tournament concludes the Patriots fall tournament season.
