FAIRFAX – George Mason Athletics has announced the launch of PhenomeNIL Patriots, a comprehensive Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) initiative designed to support Mason student-athletes in maximizing their opportunities in the new NIL era.
PhenomeNIL Patriots focuses on personal branding, education and connectivity in Fairfax and the vibrant Northern Virginia community.
"We are excited for our student-athletes and the opportunities they have with the new NIL era in collegiate athletics," said Brad Edwards, Asst. VP/Director of Athletics. "The launch of PhenomeNIL Patriots not only provides our student-athletes content they deserve to tell their stories, but a comprehensive and proactive program as well as the resources to maximize their NIL earning potential."
Mason Athletics has a multi-year partnership with INFLCR and Team Altemus for content delivery and experiential learning opportunities. The INFLCR software and mobile app allows Mason student-athletes to leverage its content delivery platform and become their own brand ambassadors, providing access to content, as well as educational tools and analytics to enhance their digital performance.
TeamAltemus provides expert instruction and engaging lessons to our student-athletes. Educational materials produced by TeamAltemus are accessible via the Storyteller Playbook within the INFLCR mobile app. In person educational experiences began this past September with a session on life skills, personal finance and brand-building with the men's and women's basketball programs.
The outstanding partners—TeamAltemus and INFLCR— are also working directly with the A-10 conference providing "protective education" and other resources for all member institutions and student-athletes through a series of conference-wide virtual and in-person workshops.
