Melissa Semkiw returns for the 2021 season as one of the most accomplished goalies in program history. Semkiw was off to a torrid start to the 2020 campaign before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A preseason All-A-10 selection after earning First Team All-A-10 honors in 2019, Semkiw ranked second in the A-10 and 31st nationally in save percentage (.475) this season. She also showed prowess around the goal, ranking second nationally in ground balls per game (4.57).

As the lone returning member of Mason's 2020 senior class for a fifth year, Semkiw is excited to represent her classmates and lead the Patriots to new heights in 2021.
