Seniors Wilson and Nojima Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla.  – George Mason University men's golfers Jeff Wilson and Takahiro Nojima have been named 2020 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status as a Division I golfer, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. 
 
A business management graduate, Wilson was recognized for his excellence in the classroom as a three-time Peter N. Stearns Provost Scholar Athlete Award honoree and a member of the 2018 Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team. On the course, he was a tremendous competitor for the Patriots during his four years, finishing his career in the top 10 in program history in career scoring average (75.55) and career birdies (209). 

In four tournaments this year, Wilson averaged 75.50 stroke average.
 
Senior Takahiro Nojima played in six tournaments this season for the Patriots. He finished third on the team in scoring average (74.50), improving his scoring average from previous season (78.81). A native of Tokyo, Japan, Nojima carded a career-low 68 at Wolfpack Intercollegiate in the fall. He led the Patriots in eagles this season with three.
