FAIRFAX, Va. – Four members of the George Mason men's and women's track and field teams have been selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team for the 2020 indoor season.
The All-Rookie Teams are comprised of the top rookie performer in each event from meets conducted from the start of the regular season through the Atlantic 10 Championships. The teams were selected based off meet results submitted through the Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS).
On the men's side, A-10 Men's Rookie of the Year
Isaiah Carter earned All-Rookie accolades in the 200m, while
Micah Harris (800m) and
Xavier Shirley (long jump) were named All-Rookie.
On the women's side, Vilde Våge Henriksen was a two-time All-Rookie selection in the 1000m and mile. The three-time A-10 Rookie of the Week was named Atlantic 10 Women's Rookie of the Year at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships.

Vilde Våge Henriksen | 1000m/Mile
Atlantic 10 Women's Most Outstanding Rookie Performer… Silver medalist in the mile (4:55.13) and bronze medalist in the 1000m (2:52.99) at the A-10 Indoor Championships… Three-time A-10 Rookie of the Week… Set personal record in the 1000m (2:49.77) at the VMI Indoor Classic, which ranked third in the conference… Set PR in the mile at the Scarlet & White Invitational with a time of 4:48.87, which ranked second in the league.
Isaiah Carter | 200m
Atlantic 10 Men's Most Outstanding Rookie Performer… Gold medalist in the 200m at the A-10 Indoor Championship (21.74 PR)… Bronze medalist in the 4x400 at the A-10 Championships… A-10 Men's Rookie of the Week on Feb. 18… Placed fifth in the long jump (7.01m PR), fourth in the 200m (21.80) and seventh in the 60m dash (7.03) at the VMI Indoor Classic (Feb. 14-15).
Micah Harris | 800m
Sixth in the 800m (1:58.42) at the A-10 Indoor Championships… Bronze medalist in the 4x400 relay at the A-10 Championships… Set PR in the 800m (1:52.43) at the Scarlet & White Invitational, which ranked fourth in the league… Placed first in the 800m at both the Great Dane Classic (Jan. 11) and Father Diamond Invite (Jan. 4).
Xavier Shirley | Long Jump
Silver medalist in the long jump (7.17m) at the A-10 Indoor Championships… A-10 Men's Rookie of the Week on Jan. 14… Finished first in the long jump (7.32m PR) and third in the 60-meter dash (6.96) at the Father Diamond Invite… Added second-place mark in the long jump (7.14m) at the Keydet Invitational.
