Atlantic 10 Release

FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason senior Logan Eubanks has been selected to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Swimming and Diving Team, the conference announced.

Eubanks, a native of Suffolk, Va., won three medals at the 2020 Atlantic 10 Championships to help the Patriots win the A-10 Men's Swimming and Diving Championship for the first time in program history.

A chemistry major, Eubanks claimed the A-10 Championship in the 100-yard backstroke, winning the gold with a NCAA B qualifying time (46.65).  He won the silver in the 200-yard backstroke with a NCAA B qualifying time (1:44.68).

Eubanks was also a member of the 200-yard medley relay team that took the top spot on the podium and set a program record at the A-10 Championships (1:27.20).

"Logan is as example of what you can achieve through hard work, determination and commitment," Mason head coach Peter Ward said.  "His development in the pool over his four years is remarkable, culminating with an Atlantic 10 individual and team Championship.  His commitment to academics have never wavered and he deserves to be named to the A-10 All-Academic Team."

The 2020 Atlantic 10 Conference Men's and Women's Academic All-Conference teams are selected based on performance in the pool, as well as the classroom.

To be nominated, swimmers and divers must have a GPA of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale) for their entire academic career.  The teams were selected through voting conducted by the league's Sports Information Directors.
