FAIRFAX, Va. – For the third-consecutive semester, the George Mason University women's lacrosse team features the department's top program GPA.
During the fall 2019 semester, women's lacrosse student-athletes posted an impressive combined 3.62 GPA. That high mark comes after leading the department in both the fall 2018 and spring 2019 semesters.
"I'm so proud of our athletes for their dedication in the classroom," head coach Jessy Morgan said. "Our program has continued to achieve success competitively within the Atlantic 10, and our academic performance has progressed in a similarly strong fashion. This is a great group that I'm honored to coach."
Fresh off a season in which the Patriots matched A-10 program records for league wins (7) and tournament seed (No. 2), Mason kicks off the 2020 season Saturday against No. 1 Maryland in George Mason Stadium. First draw is scheduled for 12 p.m.
