GENEVA, Ohio – The George Mason men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed the first day of competition at the Atlantic 10 Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Day one is the shortest day of competition, with two relay events and the women's one-meter diving event.

Mason junior
Marina Toone won silver in the one-meter springboard event. After posting a preliminary score of 258.15, she earned the spot on the podium with a finals score of 264.20.

In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the group of sophomores
Jacquee Clabeaux and
Laura Hodge, along with freshmen
Lauren Ashton and
Leah Riley placed sixth (7:23.69).

In the 200-yard medley relay, the combination of junior
Shannon Glesing, sophomores
Hannah Milikich and
Chloe Fite, along with Riley finished eighth (1:44.24).

On the men's side, the Patriots took the top spot on the podium in the 200-yard medley relay, with senior
Logan Eubanks and
Christopher Stankiewicz, junior
Devin Truong and sophomore
Will Rastatter setting a new program record (1:27.20).

In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the combination of seniors
Attila Kiss and
Ryan Donnelly, junior
Drake Moretz and sophomore
Nick Ashton took second (6:32.86).

The Atlantic 10 Championships continue on Thursday with the preliminary events scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and finals at 6:30 p.m. at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
