FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason track and field student-athlete
Grace Gaudin has picked up her first Atlantic 10 weekly honor, the conference announced on Tuesday.
The redshirt sophomore was named A-10 Women's Field Performer of the Week after dominating performances in the weight throw and shot put at the Patriot Games.
The Woodbridge, Va., native posted a personal-best toss of 19.65m for first place in the weight throw. The mark ranks first in the conference, second in school history and 36th in the NCAA.
She also added a first-place finish in the shot put with a personal-best mark of 13.07 – good for sixth in the A-10.
Gaudin and the Patriots will compete at the Crimson Elite Invitational at Harvard on Friday and the Scarlet & White Invitational at Boston University on Saturday.
