WEST POINT, N.Y. – The George Mason men's swimming and diving team defeated American and Old Dominion, while the women's team earned a victory over American in a quad meet Saturday at Crandall Pool in West Point, N.Y.

The men's team went 2-1 on the day. The Patriots downed American, 243-47, and Old Dominion, 207-90, but fell to Army 189.5-109.5.

The Patriots swept the 100-yard backstroke, with senior
Ryan Donnelly taking the top spot on the podium (50.54), junior
Logan Eubanks second (51.21) and freshman
Josh Fletcher third (51.42).
Â
Donnelly also claimed the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.97), with sophomore
Sam Westmont finishing fifth (1:54.98).

Senior
Gerald Hodges, Jr. won both diving events for the second straight week. Â He claimed the three-meter with a score of 313.12 and the one-meter with a score of 302.48.

The combination of senior
Christopher Stankiewicz, juniors
Devin Truong and Eubanks, along with sophomore
Will Rastatter placed second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:32.43).

Stankiewicz just missed the podium with a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (56.83). Graduated student
Jake Ball was seventh (59.15) and freshman
Sammy Lucht came in eighth in the event (59.52).

In the 200-yard breaststroke, freshman
Thomas Chapman placed fourth (2:06.27) and Stankiewicz was fifth (2:06.82). Chapman took a spot on the podium with a third-place finish in the 200-yard IM (1:55.64).

The Patriots went 2-3 in the 1,000-yard freestyle, with senior
Attila Kiss touching the wall second (9:37.99) and freshman
Jackson Knouse third (9:48.49). Kiss also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (4:36.28).

In the 200-yard freestyle, junior
Drake Moretz placed fifth (1:42.50), freshman
Walter Turlington was sixth (1:44.77) and Truong finished eighth (1:46.70).

Luke DeVore touched the wall third in the 200-yard butterfly (1:52.16), finishing just a second off the lead. In the 100-yard butterfly, DeVore placed fourth (50.05), junior
Andres Alarcon was seventh (51.19) and Donnelly 10th (51.40).

In the 50-yard freestyle, Rastatter took second (20.99), while sophomore
Nick Ashton was sixth (21.41) and Moretz seventh (21.64). Moretz also placed fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (46.65).

The group of Ashton, Stankiewicz, Donnelly and Rastatter won the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:22.47).

On the women's side, sophomore
Laura Hodge won the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.65) by less than a second. Sophomore
Mia McKinley placed 12th (2:01.39) and freshman
Ashton Gasper was 13th (2:01.44).

Megan Cummins won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:34.00), with junior
Erica King sixth in the event (11:17.72).

Jacquee Clabeaux took the top spot in both the 50-yard freestyle (23.90) and 100-yard freestyle (51.54). Sophomore
Chloe Fite was fifth (24.45) and classmate
Ana Kuzemka placed eighth in the 50-yard event (24.90), while sophomore
Ariana Lewis finished sixth (53.48) and Fite seventh (53.87) in the 100-yard event.

Leah Riley and Clabeaux placed second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:47.25).

Laura Hodge placed third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:11.10) and Riley took the bronze in the 200-yard butterfly (2:10.12).

Milikich just missed the podium with fourth-place finish in both the 100-yard backstroke (58.60) and 200-yard backstroke (2:05.80), while Glesing was fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.10).

Marina Toone placed second in both the one-meter (254.25) and three-meter (277.35) diving events.

The Patriots are back in action at the Atlantic 10 Championships Feb. 19-22 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
