George Mason University women's lacrosse head coach
Jessy Morgan guided Brave Lacrosse to the franchise's first Women's Professional Lacrosse League Championship this summer, culminating with a title game victory on July 28 at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Glencoe, Md.
Serving as general manager of the Brave, Morgan assembled a team which compiled a 2-1 regular season record, before rising up to win two WPLL Championship Weekend games and claim the league crown.

The championship victory came against a Fight Lacrosse roster which featured an impressive four previous Tewaarton Award winners, including Megan Taylor (Maryland), Sam Apuzzo (Boston College), Zoe Stukenberg (Maryland) and Taylor Cummings (Maryland). The Tewaarton Award is given annually to the nation's top college lacrosse player.
Through the league's draft, Morgan selected former Boston College standout Dempsey Arsenault, who went on to earn 2019 WPLL Most Valuable Player honors. Her outstanding campaign included a league-best 13 points on seven goals and six assists, for the league's No. 1 scoring offense.
"It's an honor to work with the women who are building this league for the next generation of lacrosse players," Morgan said. "It's a thrill to support the best lacrosse in the world."
The 2019 Brave Lacrosse squad included 26 post-collegiate athletes from a slew of some of the nation's top programs, including North Carolina, Maryland, James Madison and Boston College.
Morgan has managed the Brave since the WPLL's inception in 2018.
She recently wrapped up her fifth season as head coach of George Mason. The 2019 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year led Mason to an outstanding campaign in which the Patriots tied program records for A-10 wins (7) and A-10 Championship seed (2).
Morgan has compiled a record 55-33 as head coach of the Patriots. The program's 45 wins over the past four years are the most in a four-season stretch in school history.
