FAIRFAX, Va. – Sophomore Marina Toone, of the George Mason women's swimming and diving team, was selected to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State Second Team, the organization announced Friday.
 
Toone, a native of Doylestown, Pa., took third in women's three-meter diving event at the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championships with a score of 290.90.  She also finished sixth in the one-meter event at the A-10 Championships with a score of 257.60.
 
During her sophomore season, Toone made the podium nine times, including two first-place finishes, four second-place finishes and three third-place finishes.
 
The Mason women's team finished sixth at the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championships.  The Patriots finished the regular season with a 8-2 record, including a 5-1 mark against A-10 opponents.
