Three Patriots Selected to VaSID All-State Men's Swimming and Diving Team

FAIRFAX, Va. – Three members of the George Mason men's swimming and diving team were selected to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State Second Team, the organization announced Thursday.

Juniors Gerald Hodges, Jr. and Ryan Donnelly, along with sophomore Dylan Peck, each earned the honor.

Hodges, a native of Springfield, Va., won the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championships in the men's one-meter diving event with a score of 317.65. He also took silver in the three-meter event at the A-10 Championships with a score of 350.10.

Hodges made the podium six times during his junior season, recording three first-place and three second-place finishes.

Donnelly, from Raleigh, N.C., claimed bronze in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:44.97 at the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championships. He also swam to a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 47.92.
 
Donnelly, who finished the season with eight individual top-three performances, was selected to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team.
 
Peck, a native of Fredericksburg, Va., made the podium three times at the Atlantic 10 Championships. The A-10 Champion in the 200-yard IM, he set a new school record with a NCAA B qualifying time of 1:46.61.
 
Peck also took silver in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 48.42 and bronze in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:47.83 at the A-10 Championships.
 
During his sophomore season, Peck made the podium 14 times with three first-place, six second-place, and five third-place finishes.
 
The Mason men's team finished second at the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championships. The Patriots finished the regular season with a 7-1 mark, including a 4-0 record against A-10 opponents.
