FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason baseball team plays its final non-conference game of the season, hosting James Madison on Tuesday with the first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m. at Spuhler Field.
 
Last time out, Mason (19-28, 5-13 A-10) dropped two-of-three in Atlantic 10 play over the weekend against Fordham, with all three games decided by one run. 
 
The Rams won the first game of the series, 6-5, in 10 innings on Friday.  The two teams split a doubleheader on Saturday, with Mason earning a 3-2 victory in game one, while Fordham took the nightcap, 2-1.
 
Mason junior catcher Logan Driscoll leads the team in average (.344), hits (52), doubles (12), triples (2), home runs (8) and RBI (31) in 42 games played.  He is second on the club in runs scored (34) and walks (29).
 
Senior outfielder Brady Acker is second on the team in average (.281), doubles (10) and home runs (6) in 33 games played.  He is fourth on the squad in runs scored (24) and sixth in hits (24).
 
Sophomore outfielder Cam Reckling is third on the team in average (.279) and paces the Patriots in runs scored (36) in 45 games played.  He is second on the team in hits (50), is third in doubles (8) and tied for third in home runs (3).
 
The Patriots have a team batting average of .246 and a team ERA of 6.69 through 47 games this season.
 
In the first meeting between the two teams earlier this season, James Madison took a 4-0 lead in the second inning and went on to a 10-7 win over the Patriots on March 5 at Veterans Memorial Park in Harrisonburg, Va.
 
Driscoll went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, while sophomore outfielder Scott Morgan and sophomore second baseman Daniel Brooks each had two hits in the game.
 
Mason has a record of 14-12 at Sphuler Field, while James Madison is 6-9 on the road this season.
