Every year, I am grateful for the extraordinary alumni and fans within the Mason community that come together on Giving Day to support our student-athletes. Throughout the year, our department strives to raise the funds necessary to provide more than 425 Mason student-athletes with the experience, education and resources to compete on the field and in the classroom.
 
George Mason University's goal is to provide a world-class education and a welcoming community for our student-athletes. It's a place where lifelong friendships are forged, real-world knowledge is gained and role models are established. It is the beginning of a journey that develops skills and molds champions on and off the field.
 
It is with this impact in mind that I would like to sincerely encourage all of Mason Nation to make their mark by participating in Mason Giving Day on Thursday, April 4.
 
Thanks to your support, Mason Athletics was one of the University's top departments last year, raising over $98,000 from 288 donors. The competitive spirit and Patriot Pride in all of us tells me we can exceed last year's numbers and set new a record for the university.
 
Your commitment to George Mason Athletics has made a difference in so many young people's lives. Your impact on our student-athletes is felt far beyond their four years at Mason!
