Mason freshman starter Nate Young retired the Midshipmen in order on just seven pitches in the first inning.

Navy added three runs in the top of the third.  After a single and a walk to start the inning, senior first baseman Christian Hodge hit his 11th home run of the season with one-out, a three-run shot over the left field fence to make the score 14-2.

The Patriots scored the next six runs of the game to close the gap.

In the bottom of the fourth, senior shortstop Alejandro Aponte singled and Acker connected for a two-out, two-run home run to left field to make it a 14-4 game.
