FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason junior starter Jared DiCesare has been named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

DiCesare, a native of Chantilly, Va., struck out a season-high nine batters over a season-best eight innings in Mason's 2-0 victory over Dayton in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.  He allowed just three hits in the outing to earn his second win of the season.

The Patriots continue their six-game homestand, hosting William & Mary on Tuesday and Navy on Wednesday at Spuhler Field.  The first pitch for both games is scheduled for 3 p.m.
