Eight players scored for Mason led by freshman
Deanna Balsama with five goals, tying her season-high. Both goalies played a half with senior Liz Benedetto getting the start. Benedetto had seven saves, but

George Washington (5-11, 3-5) raced out of the gate with two straight goals before the Patriots
Morgan Rynn scored one of her season-high tying two goals, both in the first half. The score was knotted at 5-5 going into the intermission.
Mason opened the second half on a tear, scoring five straight goals, six unanswered.
Deanna Balsama scored twice in that stretch. She has 47 goals on the season.

The Patriots' defense led by senior Rachel Wood stepped it up as well after GW scored its fifth goal of the game at 7:38 in the first half. Mason defense, along with goalkeeper
