Tyler Youngs and Robby Jacobsen each had three hits in the game, while starter Stacen Gant allowed just one earned run in five and two-thirds to earn the victory to become Mason's all-time leader in winning percentage, a spot he still holds today.
Gant, who played for the Patriots from 2002-2005, finished his Mason career with a 25-7 record (.781) and still has the highest winning percentage in program history. Gant is second in program history in strikeouts (246) and lowest opponent batting average (.239) and ranks third in lowest ERA (3.12).
