After defeating Delaware State 6-1 in Fairfax on Saturday, Mason won by the same score Sunday on the strength of some solid play across the roster.
"The girls battled well in tough and windy conditions," head coach Steve Curtis said. "We're still improving, especially in the area of consistency. We will look to continue to make strides in that area both individually and collectively."
Mason won two of three doubles matches to open the day. Freshmen
Hannah Harrod and
Jackie Nannery began the scoring with a 6-4 victory at No. 2 doubles. Then, the Patriots' No. 1 team of senior

The Patriots received that point soon after, as Gibbs took care of business (6-4, 6-4) at No. 2 to give Mason the 4-0 edge.
